Life Lately.

33 Weeks.

33 weeks & 5 days

How’s the Baby Girl:

  • She weighs around 4.5 lbs (think pineapple)
  • She’s about 17 inches long
  • If she’s going to have hair, it should be developed by now
  • She continues to practice her breathing
  • She can listen, feel and see
  • The pupil of her eyes can detect light, constrict and dilate
  • If born this week, she has a 95% chance of survival. Starting next week, that jumps to survival of a full-term baby

How’s the Mommy:

  • I’m now measuring 6 weeks ahead. My doctor is convinced she’ll be larger than Deke and Owen. I believe her too, she’s really weighing me down:)
  • I’m trying not to over do it with cleaning and such, but it needs to be done. Every time I really get going with my “to do” list, I start having Braxton Hicks:(
  • I’m starting to notice that pregnancy and hot weather don’t mix well. My feet are swelling, my ankles are doing a disappearing act and I can’t seem to catch my breathe. Maybe that last one is just me being out of shape. HA!
  • I thought I might be lucky enough to escape restless leg syndrome this time around, but it’s here. I had it when I was pregnant with the boys and it usually started around 25 weeks. I’ve just noticed it being bad here the last couple of weeks. I guess I should be thankful it took longer this time, but goodness it’s annoying.
  • I can’t bend over without getting out of breathe and needing to sit down
  • Still no stretch marks (fingers crossed). I read a story the other day about a girl who got them right at 38 weeks.  I couldn’t believe it showed up that late in pregnancy, but apparently it can happen anytime.
  • Excited that we have only 41 more days left until we see her pretty face:)
  • No, we still don’t have a name for her yet:(

We’re Home.

We made it back home late Sunday night and immediately crashed. I’ve got a ton of pictures I need to post and I’m going to, but Owen has been hit with what we think is the stomach virus and it’s been pretty rough around our house the last two days. As soon as I can get this little guy back to his normal self, I’m gonna get on it. Not only do we have vacation pictures, but Owen started walking the day before we left and I want to document that on here as well.

For now, I wanted to share this sweet picture I took last night. While we were in Destin, we decided to buy the boys two pet hermit crabs. So far, Owen could care less about them and Deke won’t leave the poor things alone. I’m hoping these little guys don’t get too stressed with Deacon constantly at their cage screaming for them to wake up:)

Beach Feet Ready.

Can’t wait to tuck these little piggies in the sand:)

Blog Vacay.

I snickered when I gave this post the title “Blog Vacay” cause it seems like the last few weeks have been nothing but sporadic posts. Honestly, I just don’t have the energy to post every day:( These boys are keeping me quite busy and pregnancy exhaustion has kicked in full force.  However, I love blogging and I don’t plan on quiting anytime soon. I just don’t think I can keep up with it every day for right now. Hopefully, that will change once I have more energy. HAHA!

Over the last few days, Deke has really taken his pirate obsession to a different level. Not only does he yell at us when he thinks we’re on his “pirate ship”, but just today he started talking like a pirate would. It’s pretty hilarious. So, today for lunch I decided to make something I was sure he would love!

A yummy pirate sandwich:)

What I used:

  • turkey sandwich on wheat bread with mayo only (his request)
  • raisins for one eye, nose and the pirate hat
  • Organic Strawberry pull apart fruit peels (I think I got them at Target. Archer Farms brand) for the head bandana, eye patch string and his smile. I would have used a fruit roll up if I hadn’t eaten the last one a few days ago:)
  • 1 banana for the bones
  • 1 Hershey’s kiss for the eye patch

I thought it turned out pretty cute. Deke liked it as well and you’ll never guess what the first thing was that he ate. Yep, that Hershey’s kiss didn’t stand a chance;)

I don’t plan on updating after today. The Hubby and I are leaving for our beach trip super early on Thursday morning and I plan on taking it easy. Be sure and check back next week for not only vacation pictures, but the Hubby and I are doing our maternity pictures on the beach and I can’t wait! I hope everyone has a wonderful week and stay safe!
